{"id":433,"date":"2011-10-13T19:06:29","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T19:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.ensoplastics.com\/theblog\/?p=433"},"modified":"2011-10-13T21:43:37","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T21:43:37","slug":"landfill-biodegradable-products-engage-in-carbon-negative-activity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ensoplastics.com\/theblog\/?p=433","title":{"rendered":"Landfill Biodegradable Products engage in Carbon Negative Activity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>POINT OF CLARIFICATION ON CARBON NEGATIVE ACTIVITY<\/p>\n<p>The phrase carbon negative activity can have many interpretations that I feel needs clarification.\u00a0 Carbon is sequestered in plastic as we all know, but when the plastic is biodegradable, the off gassing of methane (comprised of C02 and Methane) from the biodegradation process is combustible.\u00a0 If this bio-gas is utilized in methane to energy generators, the result is considered a &#8220;green&#8221;
